- 2 c Buttermilk
- 2 c All purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 0.5 tsp Baking soda
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 1 Large egg
- 3 tbsp Butter, melted
- 8 Eggs, whisked together
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 8 slices american cheese
- 16 tsp syrup

Combining the dry ingredients
1. In a large bowl, whisk to combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Preparing the wet ingredients
1. In a separate bowl or large measuring cup, whisk together the buttermilk, egg and melted butter.
Mixing the batter
1. Pour the buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Lumps are expected.
Preparing the pan and cooking the pancakes
1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-low heat until a drop of water sizzles in the pan.
2. Spray the pan with nonstick spray and add about ¼ C of batter to two separate ring molds.
3. Drizzle 1 tsp of syrup on top of the batter and cook until golden brown and bubbles begin to form around the edges of the pancake.
4. Remove the mold and flip the pancakes and cook until done.
Preparing the egg and sausage
1. Remove the pancakes from the pan and to the same ring molds, add 1/8th of the egg mixture to one mold and 2 oz of sausage to the other.
2. Cook both until desired doneness.
Assembling the dish
1. Assemble by placing down one pancake, then a slice of cheese, followed by the egg, sausage, and then the second pancake.
