- 1 c Sugar
- 1 c mini chocolate chips
- 1 c sliced almonds

Toasting the Almonds
1. On a cookie sheet, place sliced almonds and toast in the oven at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, mixing halfway through.
2. Once toasted, let it rest on the counter for 10 minutes before gently crushing it with your fingers.
3. Empty it out in a dry vessel.
Preparing the Cookie Sheet
1. On that same cookie sheet, generously butter the surface with a brush.
2. Then add an even layer of those toasted almonds and mini chocolate chips.
3. Set it aside.
Making the Caramel
1. Next, get a frying pan and add butter and sugar.
2. Cook that on a medium low heat.
3. Keep mixing it until it becomes caramelized. Don’t overcook it or it will separate. A light golden brown color is what you're looking for.
Final Steps
1. Take it off the heat and (gently) pour it over the almonds.
2. Let it sit for a minute and then add extra almonds and chocolate chips evenly on the caramel.
3. Cover it with aluminum foil and place it in the fridge for 2 hours or until it hardens before breaking it into uneven pieces.
