- 6 large Persian cucumbers
- 1.5 Tbs White sugar, (for marinade)
- 7 clove Garlic, minced
- 2 tsp White sugar
- 3 Tbs Chinese black vinegar
- 3 Tbs Light soy sauce
- 2 Tbs spicy chili crisp oil
- 1 Tbs Sesame oil
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

1. Wash and slice the ends of 6 large Persian cucumbers (use fresh ones!)
2. Smash each cucumber then slice diagonally. The ragged edges from smashing allow the sauce to absorb into each slice.
3. Marinade cucumbers in 1.5 tbsp of white sugar. Mix, cover, and leave in fridge while you prep the sauce. The sugar will draw out liquid from the cucumbers, which will maek them extra crunchy!
4. For the sauce, mince 6 cloves of garlic. Add 2 tsp white sugar, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 3 tbsp Chinese black vinegar, 2 tbsp chili crisp oil, and 1 tbsp sesame oil.
5. Remove the liquid from the cucumbers, and mix in the sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds (optional) and enjoy immediately!
