- 0.5 c ghee
- 3 Eggs
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- 1 c Yogurt
- 0.5 c water
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 c Sugar
- 1.5 c Semolina flour
- 1 c Shredded coconut
- blanched skinless almonds
Simple Syrup
- 1.5 c Sugar
- 1 c water
- 0.5 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice

Instructions for the cake
1. Mix all the dry ingredients in one bowl and add it to the wet ingredients that have already been mixed well in a separate bowl.
2. Now combine the two and pour it to a greased cake pan and bake it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until lightly golden.
3. Use a toothpick or a skewer to make sure the cake is completely cooked by checking the middle before you take the cake out of the oven.
Making the syrup
1. Once the sugar is completely melted, turn off the stove and set it aside.
Finishing the cake
1. Let the cake sit for a couple of minutes before slowly adding the syrup on the cake.
2. Once the syrup is completely soaked (which should take 30 minutes), feel free to slice it then but best to let it sit for 2-3 hours or even overnight in the fridge.
3. Warm it in the oven or microwave before serving.
