Basma Sela Rice
- 3 cups Basma Sela rice
- 0.25 cup Olive oil
- 1.5 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 0.5 tbsp pepper corn
- 2 Cinnamon sticks, 1 inch
- 6 Cloves
- 1 Star anise
- 4 Shallots
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- 1 tsp tamarind
- 6 medium potatoes
- 1.5 cup peas
- 4 green chillies
- 6 cup water

1. Wash and soak the rice.
2. Chop, cut and slice your veggies.
3. Set it aside.
Cooking Process
1. Pour oil in a pan.
2. When hot, add whole spices and sauté for 2 min.
3. Now add the sliced onion and let it fry until slightly gold.
4. Time to add ginger and garlic.
5. Cook for 5 min while moving constantly.
6. Now add potatoes and salt.
7. Cook for 5 min before adding tomatoes.
8. Add 1/2 cup of water and place the lid for 10 min.
9. Once they are soft, remove the skin.
10. Mix it well and now add peas and water.
11. Let it come to a boil.
12. Then add the soaked rice.
13. Let it absorb most of the water on medium heat before simmering it on low flame for 15 minutes.
1. Fluff the rice before serving.
2. Enjoy it with stew and salad.
