Ingredients

Meatballs
- 2 lb Ground beef
- 1 Onion, small yellow or white, finely chopped
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- 1 tsp dry basil
- 0.5 tsp Thyme
- 0.5 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 0.5 c Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 0.5 c Breadcrumbs
- 0.5 c Parsley, chopped
- 0.5 c Basil, chopped
- 1 Egg
- 0.5 c Flour, for coating the meatballs
- 0.5 c Olive oil, for frying the meatballs
Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 3 Garlic clove, finely chopped
- 2.5 lb Marinara
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp dry oregano
- 1 tsp dry thyme
- 8 oz water
Spaghetti
- Spaghetti, al dente

Directions

Preparing the Meatballs
1. In a bowl, add ground beef and all the ingredients listed above under meatballs.
2. Mix it well.
3. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
4. Then shape 12 meatballs and set it aside.
Frying the Meatballs
1. Add an even layer of flour on a flat sheet and carefully coat the meatballs by rolling it around.
2. Remove the excess flour and start frying.
3. Make sure it is golden brown all around before removing it from the pan.
Preparing the Sauce
1. In a pot, heat the oil and add the chopped garlic.
2. Let it fry for a minute before adding in the marinara sauce and the spices.
3. Rinse the jar with a cup of water and add that to the pot.
4. Mix well and once it comes to a boil, add the meatballs.
5. Let it slowly cook for 30 minutes.
Serving the Dish
1. Add the spaghetti to the marinara sauce.
2. Gently coat it.
3. Sprinkle some freshly grated Parmesan and chopped basil.
4. Enjoy your hearty meal!
